Day 7 - Seven Day Sound Mind Christmas Challenge

Day 7

So we have reached the last day of our Seven Day Sound Mind Challenge.

This is the season of hope, joy and peace and this week has been all about looking after our minds and seeking the Lords peace.

When the Angels appeared to the shepherds they sang and said “Glory to God in the highest,and on earth peace to men on whom His favour rests!” Luke 2 v 14

It is the Father’s heart that you may have peace. Jesus before he ascended into heaven promised us his peace “ Peace I leave with you;My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled; do not be afraid. John 14 v 27

Do not allow your hearts to be troubled.

What is Jesus saying to you today?

Don’t get swept away in the busyness of this time of year instead be still in his presence. Don’t be lured into the chaos of spending money you don’t have only to leave yourself worried and anxious.

Don’t be afraid of being alone, for with him in your heart you will never be alone.

Don’t allow anxious thoughts to rule your mind instead capture each one and release them over to him.

This Christmas let Christ rule in your heart and your mind. Reflect on the true meaning of Christmas that "For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9 v 6

Allow the Prince of peace to draw close to you this Christmas and fill your heart and your mind with his peace.
