Day 2 - Seven Day Sound Mind Christmas Challenge

Day 2

Our promise from God today is that he will never leave us or abandon us.

Deuteronomy 31 v 8 The LORD Himself goes before you; He will be with you. He will never leave you or forsake you.

Christmas is a busy time with all the gatherings, the crowds, events and parties. However for some that can be overwhelming and it can cause feelings of loneliness to set in. Anxiety and stress will do that, forcing us to retreat and avoid the crowds, causing isolation to set in.

In the Christmas story we read that the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”. Immanuel which means “God with us” Matthew 1 v 23.

And that promise was not just for Mary but for all who believe. So this Christmas if you believe in Jesus, yes you may still feel lonely at times but you will never be alone for he will always be with you.

For those who are battling with loneliness due to anxiety can I encourage you to open the door of your heart to Jesus? With him in your heart you will never be alone. So, no matter where you go this Christmas, he will be right there beside you and you have nothing to fear when he is near.

Our promise today is that God is with us always.
