Perseverance

Are you serving in church? Perhaps you are pastoring a church or leading a church ministry. Summer is usually a time of reflection and rest, looking ahead to the new season.

How is that working out for you? Do you feel rested and prepared? Maybe like me you are feeling a little overwhelmed and not as rested and prepared as you had hoped.

Well I believe that God wants Tom encourage us today. You see the Apostle Paul, better than anyone else knew how wearying the spiritual battle can be. He knew that the responsibilities of the Christian life can often overwhelm us and cause us to want to give up. That’s why he encouraged the church is Galatia with these words-

“let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” Galatians 6v9

so be encouraged today. Keep going and don’t give up. Instead rest in him. He will bless you with the strength and courage that will use need to continue.
