On the 12th day of Christmas my First Love gave to me: Immanuel

Well we have finally reached day 12 of the W2W Days of Christmas. I hope you have enjoyed journeying through the Christmas story with me. I am not the first to share this wonderful story and I certainly won’t be the last.

A long time ago the prophet Isaiah foretold that “The Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and he will be called Immanuel” Which means GOD WITH US.

What does it mean to you this Christmas to know that the true gift of Christmas is right here for you today? That it was given over 2000 years ago. Wrapped up in swaddling cloth lying in a manger. That this child would be the salvation from sin, the saviour of the world. This gift is unlike any other, it comes with an eternal guarantee; it costs us nothing, as he paid the price and it can be enjoyed and shared by everyone. So as you prepare to celebrate this magical time of year remember that the greatest gift ever given is Immanuel - God is with us. Unwrap it and enjoy it.

On the 12th Day of Christmas and every day thereafter my First Love gave to me Immanual.
